Tomo's Odyssey

Tomo's Odyssey was the first Azumanga Daioh fan fiction (albeit piece of writing) to be published by oppdis. It focuses around Tomo and Yomi, particularly their relationship. This is also the work of writing that started oppdis' online writing niche.
Plot
The Incident
The story begins with a common fight between Tomo and Yomi, with Tomo bringing up Yomi's dieting habits, as well as something Yomi tried to do to Tomo, possibly earlier in life. Yomi ends up losing her temper, and punches Tomo so hard it knocks her unconscious. She is taken to the hospital for fears of a busted cheek bone, and possible brain damage.
At the hospital, Tomo is visited by Yomi, Chiyo, and Osaka. Yomi assures her that everything will be okay (as she is feeling extreme guilt at the moment). Within moments, Tomo suffers from a sudden case of cardiac arrest. The doctors try to revive her, but to no avail. Tomo is about to be pronounced dead, but is spontaneously reanimated.
It is believed that Tomo's will to live was what brought her back to life, according to the second chapter. After checker her over, the doctors are amazed to find that Tomo is okay, despite going through such physical trauma. When given the OK to re-enter the room, Yomi apologizes to Tomo, who also apologizes for what she said. She is also visited by the others.
This incident is a turning point for Tomo and Yomi's relationship, as well as the other events that take place.
